A room-by-room list helps you buy what the property needs and spot missing pieces before guests arrive. Start with the furniture people will use every day, then add the supporting pieces and finishing details.
Bedrooms: plan the whole bed
List the bed, mattress, compatible support, bedside surfaces, lighting, and clothing storage for each room. Check the finished bed height and the space needed to open drawers and change bedding.
Browse bedroom furniture and rental mattresses as separate parts of one setup. Confirm bunk-bed mattress limits and special frame requirements from the manufacturer.
Living room: count useful seats
Plan seating around how the room will be used, then choose tables and lighting within reach. Compare living-room furniture using the room dimensions rather than buying a matching group first and trying to fit it later.
For a sleeper, record the space it needs fully open and decide where loose cushions and bedding will go. Keep doors and main walking routes clear in both layouts.
Dining area: check more than the tabletop
Measure space for chairs to pull out as well as the table itself. Confirm table height and chair or stool height together. Count the places you want to provide without crowding nearby doors or cabinets.
Start with dining furniture. For an open kitchen and dining room, mark the entire layout on a sketch so the seating and work areas can be considered together.
Storage, outdoor areas, and finishing pieces
Give guests somewhere to put clothes and luggage, and leave storage for the bedding your team needs. For outdoor pieces, check that the manufacturer approves the intended exposure and follow care and storage instructions.
Buy lamps, rugs, and decor after checking the size of the main furniture. These pieces should support the room’s use rather than fill every available surface.
Make one project list before ordering
Record quantities, dimensions, budget, property address, access limits, and target date. Ask about the manufacturer’s terms for rental use. Our team can help confirm availability and coordinate local delivery.
